This is due to the fact that the grapes freeze and thaw 8-10 times before being picked. They develop new and more complex flavours each time they freeze and defrost.

HIKING TRAILS
The Niagara Parkway is a 6-kilometer path that runs from the Niagara Gorge to the Floral Clock. There’s also the 56-kilometer Niagara River Parkway Trail, which offers stunning views and a plethora of vibrant fall colours. Starting in Fort George and finishing in Niagara-On-The-Lake, this route runs parallel to the Niagara River. Perhaps you’d prefer to get lost in a corn maze, such as the one at Howell’s Pumpkin Farm.
CORN MAZE
Three viewing towers with spectacular views are available at Howell’s Corn Maze. You can get lost in the maze and have a great time with your family and friends. In September and October, the farm is open to the public every weekend. While you’re in the neighbourhood, stop by one of the local farmer’s markets, roadside stands, or go apple picking. However, if you want to view Niagara Falls, the Skylon Tower is a fantastic way to watch the falls and all of the colours all at once.
SKYON TOWER
Skylon Tower is a 775-foot observation deck that provides a 360-degree view of Niagara Falls. There’s also a spinning restaurant and an arcade. This is a spot where you can take in the entire scenery as well as the region’s stunning fall colours. Adult tickets are $10, while children’s tickets are $6. If you’ve never visited Skylon Tower, it’s certainly worth your time. Perhaps wine sampling is more your style.
WINE TASTING
Wineries are open and ready to serve throughout the Fall, and many are open all year. You can have a glass of wine outside while seeing the stunning colours of Southern Ontario’s wine country. For this activity, you’ll need a ride, and we can assist you with that.
